Education Savings Accounts (ESAs)

Our latest resource explains what Education Savings Accounts are, the different kinds, and how they differ from vouchers.

Education Savings Accounts are state-supervised, flexible spending accounts containing public funds. Parents can access funds online and pay for a variety of approved education-related services, such as private or nontraditional schools or courses. Parents can save unused funds for later K-12 or college expenses. Through an ESA, families direct their child’s education funds to the school of their choice and customize their child’s education by choosing what works best for them.
